It is a common term commonly used in casinos, club poker, and home card games.  

Description

Hand – a set of cards of the player, which he receives from the hand or forms during the round.

In some games, you can bet on multiple hands. 

In Texas hold'em and other forms of poker, the hand is made up of pocket and community cards.
